Keauhou Veterinary Hospital offers on call 24 hour emergency critical care to all area patients 7 days a week. Emergencies by nature can be a frustrating and emotional time for everyone. Dr. Head and the staff are trained to treat real time emergencies.

If your pet is experiencing a life threatening emergency and needs to be seen please do not hesitate to call 895-8105.
It is important that you leave your name, your pets name, your phone number, and the nature of the emergency when you call. We can not call back a blocked number. Try and remain calm and know that help is only moments away. One of our doctors will answer your call and help you determine if your pet needs to be seen tonight of if it can wait until the morning. Anytime you want to have your pet seen, even if it just for peace of mind we are more than willing to come in.

The after hours exam fee will be discussed with you over the phone and any additional information such as estimates for care will be discussed with you when you come in. We never charge a fee for you to speak to the doctor. However, please be mindful that if it can wait until the morning or the next time we are open our doctors and staff will be happy to assist you then.

As always remember that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Keeping you pets safe and bringing them in for their annual exams is a step in the right direction.
