Keauhou Veterinary Hospital Coronavirus Policies and Procedures June 2020
VISITS AND APPOINTMENTS
In coordination with the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) and our other guiding associations, we have adopted a “curbside check-in” protocol to facilitate social distancing. We will take our patients into our hospital while asking you, our clients, to remain outside.
- We have chosen to keep our door locked to minimize accidental walk-ins
- We are currently offering annual and other routine examinations as well as elective and non-elective surgeries, drop off and emergency appointments are being seen as needed.
- Before you come to the clinic:
- Provide all information regarding your pet via email or over the phone
- Please ensure that your pet is in a carrier or on a leash.
- Please make sure you wear a mask correctly at all times. Please observe social distancing with our staff and other clients who are waiting.
- Call us from your car and we will come to your car and pick up your pet.
- We will communicate with you via your cell phone during the appointment while you wait in your car or on our lanai.
- If you are coughing, sneezing, have a fever, sore throat, or any COVID-19 symptoms AND have a sick pet, please call us for further discussion.
SUPPLIES, MEDICATIONS, FOOD, SUPPLEMENTS
If you need prescriptions, supplements, or pet food, we will be able to assist you.
- Call us with what you need. We have Bluetooth Terminals we can bring out to you for check out. – We respect this information and want to keep it safe so please note we may take your card inside if others are waiting near by.
- We will give you instructions how to pick up your supplies and medications at the time you place your order. Note that this service will be offered during normal business hours only.
